My baby daughter Magdalena, lovingly called Lena, was a fighter from the very beginning. She faced countless challenges and fought to survive, winning again and again despite the odds. Most of her life was spent in the hospital, and throughout that time, our family was stretched thin emotionally and financially. The bills and needs from her care already strained our finances, but we always found a way to keep going for Lena.

When Lena unexpectedly passed away before we could complete her transfer to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, our world was turned upside down.
