Aloha Kakou,
With the sudden passing of our boy, Legend Tilton, and anticipation of upcoming expenses needed to celebrate the life of one of the most powerful 10-year-old Hawaiians, we created this vessel for friends and family to support his mommy Britt, daddy Kalei, brothers Dayten & Katin and sister Legacy. While the grief when losing a loved one can be overwhelming, the sudden loss of a young child with a heart of pure aloha has been devastating.
Legend lived a very full 10 years, having the greatest impact on every single person that he met. Whether riding his bicycle or dirt bike around Pauoa Valley or through the many baseball parks, supporting his brothers at their various sports events, surfing in the many oceans or jumping at Waikiki walls, he NEVER hesitated to stop and share his aloha. He would go out of his way to say hi and just talk story. He could hold adult conversations and was genuinely interested in what most had to say. This guy knew everyone, what they were doing, why they were doing it and who they were doing it with. If you wanted to know anything, you would just ask Legend.
In 2023 the 'ohana discovered that Legend had a heart condition called Long QT. This discovery required changes both at home and in school. In pure Legend fashion, as time went by, he was back to his normal, rascal, no can keep still self. Britt and Kalei continued to monitor his activities, making sure he doesn’t overdo himself. If anyone knows Leg, he tested their patience daily. Leg eventually returned to playing baseball, fixing cars and bikes, and yup, riding through the valley with family or friends, and doing what he loved the most, body boarding with the boys. Oh, was he a waterman!
After school on April 24, 2026, while riding bike with one of his best friends, Legend did not feel well. Thank you to the people passing by that lent a hand till EMS arrived and took our boy to Kuakini Hospital. He was later transferred to Kapiolani where he gained his angel wings on April 25, 2026.
Legend has left his footprint embedded in the hearts of everyone and will be missed tremendously. His ohana truly appreciates all the love, prayers, and support.
Financial support received will go to celebrating the life of the man, the myth, the LEGEND.
