Honoring Leah McCann
Donation protected
We are Leah's sons, Alexander and Nicholas. Our mom passed away recently and one of the ways we'd love to honor her memory is with a plaque on a bench in a place she loved, Golden Gate Park.
Mom lived in San Francisco for 60 years and has always had a special connection with the Richmond District and the parks, especially Golden Gate Park. She could always be seen early in the morning walking her dogs through Lincoln Park, running through Golden Gate Park, or coaching us or watching us play in hundreds of games at Moscone Park/Marina Green/Polo Fields/Julius Kahn/the list goes on. Mom even used to be a playground director at Jackson Park.
Our goal is to raise at least $6,000 which we will donate to the SF Parks Alliance for a commemorative bench plaque. Thank you for your support in reaching our goal.
If you are ever in Golden Gate Park, take a break, grab a seat on Leah's bench, and remember some good times.
