Our father, Lawrence Gibbs, passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications. Our family is devastated and leaning on faith as we navigate this sudden and heartbreaking loss.

Lawrence was a pillar in the community a longtime youth coach in Compton, a devoted husband, father, and friend, and a man who poured love, discipline, and encouragement into countless families. His presence shaped generations. His legacy lives on in the many young people he coached, mentored, and believed in.

Because our immediate family lives out of state, we are raising support to help with travel costs so we can come together and celebrate Lawrence’s life with a proper homegoing service.

We are also preparing for out-of-pocket expenses connected to his service and the arrangements needed to honor him respectfully. In addition, we will need to tend to his personal affairs and home once services are complete.
