Please Help Us Support My Cousin Danielle

On August 8, 2026, our family’s life changed forever.

My cousin, Danielle Wilburn, and her two daughters were involved in a devastating crash in Geauga County, Ohio.

Our family is heartbroken to share that Danielle’s 13-year-old daughter, Lauren Braxton, tragically lost her life.

Lauren was not only a beloved daughter, but also my cousin—a beautiful young girl who was taken from her family far too soon. At only 13 years old, she had her entire life ahead of her. Her loss has left a heartbreaking void that words cannot describe.

Danielle was also seriously injured in the crash and is facing her own recovery while trying to navigate the unimaginable loss of her daughter.

Danielle’s 6-year-old daughter, Journee, was also seriously injured and remains in medical care as she begins her difficult road to recovery.

Right now, my cousin Danielle is facing every parent’s worst nightmare while also trying to be strong for her surviving child.

I am creating this fundraiser with Danielle’s permission because I want to help support my cousin during this devastating time. I also want to help relieve some of the financial burden that comes with medical care, travel, lodging, and being away from home during such an unexpected crisis.

Donations will help with:

• Journee’s medical and rehabilitation-related expenses

• Danielle’s recovery-related expenses

• Travel and transportation

• Hotel and lodging while Journee receives care

• Food and everyday necessities

• Household expenses while Danielle and Journee recover

• Wheelchair accessible housing, wheelchair accessible vehicle and other unexpected expenses resulting from this tragedy
