Dear Family, Friends, and all who shared in the love of Eddy’s mother and my wife, Laura, It is difficult to imagine that six months ago, Laura left this world far too soon at the young age of 49. These past months have been incredibly challenging, but Eddy and I have found strength through the love, guidance, and support from all of you. For that, we are deeply grateful. Eddy and I often take walks in a special place where we reflect on our dear Laura—the Woodland Regional Park Preserve. There is a beautiful pond there, where geese and ducks gather, and it has become a peaceful space for remembrance. The park offers a program to install commemorative benches, and I would like to honor Laura’s life with one in her memory. Laura gave so much to the Woodland community over the years—through her work as a teacher and her dedication to community service. It feels fitting to create a place where others can sit, reflect, and enjoy the peace she would have loved. Any funds raised beyond the cost of the bench will be donated to Warmline Family Resource Center, a nonprofit organization Laura cared deeply about, which supports families with children who have disabilities. Thank you for your love, support, and for helping us honor Laura’s memory. With much love, Erik and Eddy
