Our friend, Larry Tiller, passed away in July of 2025. A daily fixture at Bodega Head for at least 20 years and whale watch docent for the Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, Larry generously shared his knowledge about whales, birds and other wildlife with countless visitors. Many continue to ask about "the man in the big hat" when they visit Bodega Head. I'm initiating this fundraiser to raise $3,500 to cover the costs associated to install a picnic table with inscriptions honoring his legacy. Permission has been granted by California State Parks to have the table installed near the area where he consistently parked, usually being one of the first to arrive for the day. It will be made out of CON heart wood, and be inscribed:
