Honoring Larisa Bajek: Support for a Loving Farewell

This past year has been the most challenging of my life, marked by circumstances I never imagined enduring. It is with profound heartbreak and devastation that I share the sudden and tragic loss of my beloved wife, Larisa Bajek. There were no warning signs, just the unthinkable unfolding in a single moment.

Here’s our story:

On the night of December 17th, Larisa and I went for a late walk, holding hands as we so often did. When we returned home, we cuddled and fell asleep together. The next morning, Larisa, always thoughtful, wanted to let me sleep in and planned to go out to get us coffee and bagels. When I woke up from a sudden ring at the door, I found her unresponsive in the bathtub; she had suffered cardiac arrest.

As the days in the hospital passed, I held her hand as she fought for her life, supported by prayers and love from family, friends, colleagues, and strangers. Despite every effort, I had to say goodbye, holding her hand until her very last moment.

I still can’t believe this is real life. Larisa was my rock, my partner, and my greatest love. This loss has shaken me to my core.

I’ve always been a hard worker and a go-getter, someone who doesn’t ask for help. But this is a time I must reach out and humbly ask for your support.

We are facing significant costs to honor Larisa with a proper burial in her family’s land in Russia, along with the immense expenses of transportation, lost wages, and daily bills that continue to mount.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me as I navigate this life-changing and tragic time. Your generosity will help me give Larisa the farewell she deserves and provide some stability as I try to rebuild my life in 2025.
