On Sunday, August 3, Landon Balke passed away in our home. He was 45 years old. He had been battling melanoma for several years. Last year, the disease began spreading, resulting in an inoperable abdominal tumor. He came to live with us after a hospital stay in April with complications from stage 4 metastasized melanoma. He was on hospice since July 9. We are relieved that he is no longer suffering but heartbroken to have lost a son. Thank you to everyone for your love and kind words.

If you knew Landon, you know that he had very few wishes for himself. One thing he said is that he would like to have a place marker in the local cemetery in the community he grew up.

Any funds raised will be used for the end-of-life expenses and a headstone to be placed in the local cemetery. Any funds raised over the goal will be used to support his surviving children.
