Louris (Laila) Whang passed away on July 30th, 2025. She passed away after a year of battling with her health and is now no longer in pain.She is survived by her husband Charles (Bok Sung) Whang, her son Inyoung Whang, and her daughter Jennifer Whang.

Inyoung and Jennifer Whang are raising funds for their mom’s funeral service, end-of-life, and transitioning costs. With our dad in his late 80s, our mom handled all the finances. We will both be stepping up to take over that portion of our dad’s life and will need help during this long and difficult transition. We appreciate anything and everything anyone can do to help.

For those who knew our mom, they know she was a passionate woman who was outspoken, friendly, hard working, and generous with her love. She always made sure anyone who came over received a big smile, sometimes a snarky remark, and made sure they always left well-fed.
