In loving memory of Lady Trish (aka Pat Rogers), leader of Kracken in the online game Sparta: War of Empires. Trish (Pat) left us unexpectedly early in the morning of February 7, 2025. She had made no preparations in the event she were to pass on. None of us expected this! Most who knew her as Trish liked her. Those who would not commit to liking her truly respected her. As Pat, she made friends who loved her for life. Her son, Richard, was all she had left. Any funds you donate will go to Richard, to help with the final expenses that are occurring.

Trish (Pat) was an avid gamer. She wasn’t like most of us who dabble in two or more games at the same time; when she found a game with good people, she played only that. She played Lord of Ultima for several years until they took the game offline. Shortly after her friend, “Bloodhelm,” found Sparta: War of Empires, he invited her to join him there. She didn’t hesitate. On June 14, 2014, she joined him. Less than three months later, she took his place as the leader of Kracken. For 10 years and 4 months, she led her alliance with a firm controlling hand. Yet she always tried to do the best for each of her members. She was always there when anyone in the game needed anything, including in their private lives. You did not have to be a member of Kracken for her to touch your life even in a small way.

Over the past five years, Pat suffered several losses in her life. Her online persona, Trish, gave her a positive purpose. She spent most of her time on her computer worrying and fussing over her alliance. For a time, Sparta became her whole world. She and her son had bonded over the fact that they both enjoyed the games they played, her playing Sparta and him playing World of Tanks (reddy44). I think all gamers can understand how the lure of these games we play can pull you in. But it is the people you meet along the way that keep you there. Please, any friends or gamers out there, please give a little something to put a great person to rest.
