Honoring Kylene Douglas

With shattered hearts, Wendy and those who love Kylene Douglas honor a beloved mother of three daughters, a woman of faith, and a cherished friend whose life was tragically taken by domestic violence. Kylene was funny, loving, caring, and could light up any room. Kylene loved the Lord, family, and especially the daughters. Kylene’s beautiful spirit and the love that was given will never be forgotten. Kylene was fighting for life, freedom, and the future, while trying to safely escape an abusive relationship and seeking protection through the courts. Kylene deserved to be safe. Kylene deserved to be heard. Kylene deserved to live. Kylene deserved to watch the daughters grow, celebrate their accomplishments, and share in every milestone.

This fundraiser was created to help secure a future for Kylene Douglas’s three daughters, including adult daughter Deja. Deja will serve as executor of Kylene’s estate, and the intention is for donations, after applicable fees, to be placed into a trust for the girls, with funds for the younger daughters distributed when they turn 18. These funds will help with education, housing, transportation, and building independent futures. Nothing can replace their mother’s love, guidance, or presence, but together people can help provide the opportunities Kylene dreamed of for them.
