Honoring Kwame’s Legacy and Life

On 12/15 we found out that we lost Kwame — a devoted man, a powerful leader, and an unwavering voice in the movement.
Kwame believed deeply in people, justice, and action. He did not wait for change — he demanded it. He organized, educated, challenged systems, and stood firm against police brutality, the erasure of missing people, and the Black communities. His leadership was real, uncompromising, and rooted in accountability and truth.
This fundraiser is to help cover:
• Cremation services
• Three urns for family
• Celebration of life
Kwame did not want a traditional funeral or religious service. He wanted a “party ask his own” as he used to say — a gathering where people could come together, share stories, speak honestly, remember his impact, and acknowledge the work that still remains.
This is not about party for Paris w sake. It’s about honoring a man who gave so much of himself to his community and ensuring his life is remembered with the dignity and respect he earned.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, helps. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as powerful.
Thank you for standing with us, honoring his legacy, and helping us send Kwame off with the dignity and respect he earned.
We will keep everyone updated on “his own party” details as plans are finalized.
With peace, love and gratitude,
Katrina
