On behalf of the Purdy family, we would like to thank you for reaching out to offer your condolences following the devastating loss of our Kristin "Kizzy" Purdy.

In the beginning of March, Kristin's mother, Mary, was diagnosed with Necrotizing Fasciitis, a rare and very serious bacterial infection. When Kristin, a resident of Brooklyn, NY, got the news, she immediately got on a train to Boston to support her mother and family. While Mary continues to make a miraculous recovery, Kristin contracted Meningitis and very sadly succumbed to her illness on March 17th, 2026, at the age of 45.

Kristin earned two master's degrees from Oxford University and spent her career working in academic publishing. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, and she will be sorely missed.

Many of you have inquired about contributing to our family, and we welcome any donation you would care to make to help cover expenses during this time. Please continue to share thoughts and memories that you have of Kizzy, and please know that a memorial service is pending at Gormley Funeral Home on Centre St. in West Roxbury. Details to follow.
