Koltyn Labart — A Bright Light Gone Too Soon
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Koltyn, who left this world on April 25, 2025. Leaving behind his father Dustin Labart, and his dog Rem. His departure has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of all who loved him, and his absence echoes in the spaces once filled with his laughter, his music, and his vibrant spirit.
Koltyn was a force to be reckoned with—a soul unafraid, unapologetically himself, and wildly full of life. He lived with a rare kind of boldness that only a few truly possess. Whether he was racing around on his dirt bike, eating his favorite ice cream, making the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or belting out his favorite songs like no one was listening, Koltyn never held back. He was always the loudest laugh in the room, the first to crack a joke, and the one person you could count on to lift the mood no matter how heavy the day.
Though Koltyn endured a difficult early childhood, he never let that pain define him. Instead, he channeled his energy into making others smile. He wore his scars like armor, disguising them with humor and confidence, becoming the class clown with a purpose—to bring light where there was darkness.
Koltyn was full of dreams and deep feelings. He had goals that stretched far beyond the horizon, and a heart that felt things more deeply than most. He was passionate, opinionated, and never afraid to speak his truth. He taught us all a little more about courage just by being himself.
The pain of losing Koltyn is something we will carry forever. His choice to leave this world has shattered many hearts, but we hold tight to the memories, the laughter, the songs, and the love he gave so freely. He was unforgettable, irreplaceable, and endlessly loved.
Rest easy, Koltyn. You were, and always will be, a light in this world.
