My son, Kolton Jakob Brian Esparza, was a kind-hearted soul who faced many challenges in life but never let them harden his spirit. He had a smile that could light up his whole being and eyes that radiated warmth and compassion. Kolton was a wonderful artist, and his creativity was just one of the many ways he brought beauty into the world. Despite the hardships he endured, he always kept a good heart and showed love to those around him.
Tragically, Kolton's life was brutally stolen by three individuals whose actions have left our family shattered. As I navigate the heartbreak of losing my son, I am also faced with the overwhelming responsibility of arranging his final expenses and traveling back and forth from Utah to Oregon to attend the trials of those responsible. The journey is long—over 1400 miles round trip—and the costs for travel, lodging, and car rentals are extensive and ongoing as justice takes its course.
There is a second, separate fundraising campaign being organized by Kolton’s mom, Korrie. While her campaign is not associated with this one, some of the funds from both campaigns will be combined to help cover Kolton’s funeral expenses.
The funds raised here will help cover Kolton's cremation and funeral arrangements, as well as the many expenses involved in seeking justice for him. I am deeply grateful for any support, prayers, and kindness from the community as we honor Kolton's memory and fight for justice in his name. Your generosity means more than words can express during this incredibly difficult time.
