Hi everyone, my name is Waldemar Collazo Gonzalez, and I am reaching out to ask for your support after an unbearable tragedy. On July 27th, my 8-month-old French Bulldog, Kody, suffered severe heatstroke while we were detained during a police stop in Rockton, Illinois. Despite my frantic, repeated pleas for help and water, and letting officers know the environment was dangerously hot, my requests were ignored. Hours later, after we were finally released and dropped off at a nearby gas station by the police, I desperately rushed toward an emergency vet to save his life. Tragically, Kody passed away on the way there. I am determined to ensure his death is not ignored and that those responsible are held accountable. What the Funds Will Be Used For: Veterinary Necropsy (Autopsy): To get official medical forensic documentation of Kody's cause of death, which is vital evidence for legal proceedings.

Cremation & Memorial Services: To give Kody the peaceful, respectful memorial and rest he deserves. Legal Fees & Representation: To hire an attorney specializing in civil rights and negligence so we can pursue a lawsuit and demand justice. Every dollar contributed goes directly toward Kody’s final arrangements and fighting for accountability.
