Honoring Khelsey: Support Her Memorial Service
Donation protected
I’m Michelle and this is a fundraiser for my selfless niece’s memorial service.
For two years, my niece was constantly going through radiation or chemo treatments because when she’d defeat one tumor, another would take its place. She ended up with tumors in her brain and in her spine and throughout her body.
Due to brain tumors, she had a seizure that caused her to break her back, she had a tumor in one ear that prevented her from hearing with that ear, massive tumors in her sinuses preventing her from breathing normally, blood transfusions were required, she had numerous infections and more. Yet, she fought. So hard. She never stopped going for treatment and exploring trial treatments in other states. She never gave up hope for a miracle. She was so determined to see her kids grow up and to keep their mom around as long as possible. She took them to Disneyland and Las Vegas while she was sick and she had a trip planned for just a couple weeks after she passed away with her sister and another one a couple weeks after that one to Mexico with her husband and children. She loved life and she is deeply loved her family. She loved creating beautiful memories for them and with them, that they’ll always cherish.
This is a person who, while in extreme pain and going through treatment after treatment, which made her extremely sick and weak, never put herself first. She threw elaborate and special birthday parties for her kids, she mourned the unexpected loss of her little brother and helped get others through it, she went to her grandma’s house around Christmas time and helped her put together homemade Christmas candy/treat trays so that others would be able to enjoy them- and she made sure they looked perfect. She thought of others often, all while fighting for her life.
She was someone who gave back to her community. She and her husband own their own business and sponsored some of the local Lewis County school athletic teams.
She loved fiercely and was loved fiercely. Her very devoted husband was by her side constantly throughout her two year battle, which means that their business has suffered financial hardship as they paused operations to focus on Khelsey’s cancer treatments.
Her family unfortunately cannot afford the celebration of life that she deserves. This is why they’ve asked me to start this Go Fund Me in hopes of giving Khelsey the send-off she so richly deserves. They want to thank all of you in advance for not only anything you can do to help financially with her service but, more importantly, for the love, support and prayers.
People rally around those who are grieving and it is so humbling to be a part of. So, thank you. Thank you for being there for a family who has experienced so much pain and loss. So many people have stepped up in their time of need, including some who didn’t even know Khelsey. Our genuine and heartfelt thanks.
Lastly, Terry’s (Khelsey’s dad’s) Venmo is @Theron-Minor if you’d prefer to donate that way. Thank you again, so much.
Any money not used for her memorial service will go to her husband and children.
