On May 5, 2026, Lebanon Borough lost a true hero. My uncle, Kevin James Saharic, age 62, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service and love.
For over 40 years, Kevin was the heart of our fire and rescue services. He joined the Lebanon Fire Company in 1980 and served with distinction—including 23 years as Chief. He earned the Medal of Valor for rescuing both a downed firefighter and a civilian during a fire. In 2024, he was honored as Grand Marshal of our Fourth of July Parade.
Kevin was a devoted husband to Michele, his high school sweetheart of 40 years, a proud father to daughters Marlaina and Ali, and a doting grandfather to five grandchildren who were his greatest joy. He also dedicated 44 years to Tamke Tree Experts, where his loyalty was unmatched.
Kevin gave everything to everyone around him. Now we have the opportunity to give back to the family he loved so deeply. This sudden loss has left Michele and the family facing unexpected expenses during an incredibly difficult time.
Every contribution will help ease the financial burden on my Aunt Michele and allow her to focus on honoring his memory.
We cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
