Hello everyone,

My name is Jimmia Williams, and I am the youngest sister of Keneka Chandler.

It breaks my heart to even have to write this, but our family is grieving an unexpected and tragic loss. Keneka was taken from us in a fatal car accident—a head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver. This loss has been devastating and still does not feel real.

My sister and I were very close. She helped raise me, protected me, and showed up for me in ways I will carry with me forever. She was someone I could talk to about anything—my confidant, my protector, and someone who truly cared for me. She will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Keneka was truly one of a kind. She kept it real, stayed true to herself, and had a personality that could light up any room. She was funny, strong, and didn’t take any mess—she would proudly call herself a “beautiful gangster,” and that was her in every sense. She was caring, loving, and always there for others, especially her family.

She was also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), which reflects the kind of heart she had. Taking care of others wasn’t just her job—it was who she was. She gave so much of herself to the people around her.

Along with losing my sister, we also lost her beloved dog, Giovanni (aka Gio)—her fur baby, her companion, her heart. She did not have children, but Gio was truly her baby. Losing both of them at the same time has made this tragedy even more painful.

Keneka was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She was deeply loved by her family, and her presence in our lives is something that can never be replaced. She was truly the last of her kind.

At this time, our family is trying to navigate this unimaginable loss while preparing to honor her life. We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, transportation to bring her home to Miami, and to support our family during this difficult time, including grief counseling as we process this loss.
