It is with deep sorrow that we reach out for urgent help with funeral and essential living expenses for my sister, Denise Mabry. Her husband, Kenneth Mabry, of 16 years passed away unexpectedly. Ken had been courageously battling kidney disease for many years and was on the transplant list, holding onto hope for a better future. Despite his strength and determination, he passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025, due to complications from surgery.

Because of his condition, Ken was unable to obtain life insurance, leaving my sister, Denise, to face an overwhelming financial burden during the most heartbreaking moment of her life. Although she will receive some assistance due to his veteran status, it is nowhere near enough to cover the full cost of a proper funeral. On top of this, Denise is now struggling with lost income, as she cannot afford the time away from work that she desperately needs to grieve and navigate these immediate expenses.

For the last 16 years of their marriage, Denise devoted herself to Ken’s care—through countless surgeries, ongoing complications, heart issues, and daily home dialysis—all while working full-time. She has given everything she had, emotionally and physically, and now she needs help more than ever.

Ken leaves behind a loving family: one son, three daughters, eight grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way. They are devastated by this loss and want nothing more than to honor Ken’s life with the dignity, respect, and compassion he deserves.

With funeral costs already mounting and bills continuing to arrive, the need for support is truly urgent.
