My name is James, and I’m raising funds in memory of my mom, Kelly Cho. She was the most positive, faith-filled, and high-spirited person I’ve ever known. As a first-generation immigrant, she worked incredibly hard and overcame every challenge with kindness, compassion, and a deep care for others. My faith and strength today are because of her unwavering support and example.
Kelly was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and lymphedema, but she kept her illness from me until it was too advanced. I flew to be by her side and spend her final moments together. Before she passed, she told me not to worry and that she would handle everything, but she didn’t have enough time. Now, I’m left with the responsibility of her cremation, honoring her wish for her ashes to be poured into the sea, and making sure her friends and loved ones can gather for a church service to celebrate her life and faith.
The costs for her cremation and a meaningful urn, as well as several overdue bills, are more than I can manage alone. Any support will help me give my mom the farewell she deserves and bring closure to those who loved her.
