I am heartbroken to share that Kellie Payne passed away unexpectedly on June 22. Kellie was one of one. Brilliant, funny, fierce, musical, stubborn in the best ways, and unforgettable to everyone lucky enough to know and love her. She had been part of my life since we were kids, and for nearly forty years she was one of the closest people in my world. She was the person who could finish my sentences, call me on my nonsense, make me laugh when I did not want to, and remind me that life was always better with music, stories, movies, books, and the people who truly get you.

In the wake of Kellie's passing, I am facing several urgent expenses. I need help covering the costs of her cremation, traveling to Seattle for her celebration of life, and ensuring my dogs are safely cared for by my mom. On top of these, I am struggling to maintain immediate rent and household stability, as well as essential transportation needs while I work through the next steps. This has been an overwhelming time, and I am doing my best to honor Kellie's memory while finding a way forward.
