Keith S. Marek, Sr., 75, of South Amboy, passed away at home on August 7, 2025. Born in Perth Amboy, Keith was a longtime employee of Gerdau Steel in Sayreville. He was known for his love of the Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore Orioles, and NASCAR, and he cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and grand-dogs. Trips to the Outer Banks were among his favorite memories with family.
Son of the late Joseph and Marguerite Meade Marek, Keith is also predeceased by his siblings Paul and Johnny Marek and Carol Pillz. He is survived by his wife Doreen Delellis Marek; his children Keith Marek, Jr. and his wife Tonya, Glenn Marek and his husband Robert, and Shannon Marek and her boyfriend Justin Korn; his siblings Susan Borkowski, Eileen Pahlck, and Carl Marek; his grandchildren Keith, III, Caitlyn, Morgan, and Angelina; his puppy Jax; his grand-dogs Penelope, Frankie, Murphy, and Spike; and many nieces and nephews.
We are raising funds to help cover the costs of Keith’s funeral service and burial. The service will be held on August 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Gundrum Service, 237 Bordentown Ave., South Amboy, NJ 08879. Any support will help us honor Keith’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves.
