Keith Grey was an amazing father to five daughters, a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, and a devoted and loving husband. He was a lifelong sports fan and a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan, but what truly brought him joy was spending time with his family. Keith was not only a beloved father and mentor, but also a best friend - always there to offer guidance, laughter, and unwavering support. A year and a half ago, Keith was diagnosed with prostate cancer. We were told it was in the early stages and treatable, so we held onto hope. However, in October, his health began to decline at an alarming rate, and by November he was hospitalized. It was then that we learned the cancer had spread to his liver, while also facing stage 4 kidney disease. In the weeks that followed, he experienced serious complications, and his condition continued to worsen. The morning we were told he might not make it through the day, we immediately began the eight-hour drive to be by his side. Heartbreakingly, he passed away before we arrived. While we didn’t make it in time, we were still blessed to see him and say our goodbyes. We are especially grateful that his loving wife was by his side in his final moments, ensuring he was surrounded by love and not alone. Now, we are faced with the unexpected challenge of arranging his cremation and honoring his memory without the support of a life insurance policy. We want to give Keith the celebration he deserves on what would have been his 70th birthday - a true celebration of his life and the light he brought to so many.
