Honoring Kathy's Legacy: Help Her Family

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Katherine Yonker, affectionately known as Kathy, a truly extraordinary woman who touched countless lives with her boundless generosity and unwavering love.

Kathy's selfless spirit and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kathy's life was a testament to her innate desire to care for others. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Linda and Tom. She was also a cherished grandmother to Kalyn, who was not only her granddaughter but also her best friend.

Beyond her immediate family, Kathy opened her heart and home to many 'adopted' children, offering love and support to those who lacked family or had lost connections due to addiction. Her capacity for empathy knew no bounds, and she embraced everyone with open arms.

Her passing has devastated everyone. Kathy was doing good, got a COVID vaccine, and then passed away in her sleep a few days later. It has been one thing after another.

She did not have life insurance to help supplement the heavy costs of the funeral services or any kind of assistance, so it is left to the family.

She also had an apartment full of memories, and the apartment complex she has lived at for many years said she broke her lease by passing away and only gave her family 3 days to move everything out and clean out the apartment.

This has been traumatic and an incredible hardship on her family.

I am reaching out for the family in hopes we can come together as a community and help support an incredible woman, Kathy, who has touched the lives of so many people.
