2/26/26 Update: She is gone.

For the past six years Kathy Angelica has fought a brave fight against Alzheimer’s Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease, from which she suffered greatly. Sadly, she is a shadow of her former self and her body no longer has the strength to fight. She has entered the actively dying phase.

She has nothing. All of her assets (her home and her car) were sold to pay for care, and all of her income less $55 ($75 monthly Personal Needs Allowance minus $20 T.V. fee charged by the facility) goes to the skilled nursing facility, leaving no funds for final arrangements.

We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the costs of a very simple cremation and inurnment. Her brother was tasked with gathering estimates for final arrangements and thus far the lowest figure was originally $5,000 but the funeral director kindly considered the circumstances and reduced the price by $1,000.. A donation in any amount would be appreciated beyond words.

Mary and Freddy Fricke for helping me to help Mom by providing friendship and a warm and welcoming home away from home during countless trips to CT.

Dan Vener for coming to the rescue to of a damsel in distress time and again, plus accepting package deliveries and storing items between trips.
