Katherine Hanora Mahoney was born and raised in Colorado by her loving parents, Katherine “Jill” and Dan Mahoney, alongside her brother, Phil Mahoney. She grew up with a deep love for nature, horses, art, music, and travel all of which stayed with her throughout her life and shaped her hardworking, witty & curious spirit.

Katherine was an accomplished Marketing Executive for many years and changed the toy industry through her brilliance, wit, and nurturing, motherly wisdom. She had a rare ability to lead with both intelligence and heart, and she touched countless lives professionally and personally.

She shared a beautiful 13-year marriage with her husband, Hugh Taylor, and is the proud mother of three daughters - Kaitlyn, Helen, and Claire - who are by her side now, caring for her in this final chapter.

Katherine is truly everyone’s favorite person. As a devout Catholic, she always had thoughtful advice, a strong moral compass, and an unwavering kindness that made people feel seen and supported. She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Katherine is currently in hospice care in Pasadena, California, surrounded by her daughters. This fundraiser is to help cover her end-of-life care, funeral and burial expenses, and any related incidentals during this difficult time. Any support, whether financial or through sharing, is deeply appreciated and received with gratitude.

We will be honoring her life with both a Service in Pasadena, CA (TBD on church location) and a Service in Wheat Ridge, CO where she wants to buried at Mount Olivet with her parents Jill & Dan Mahoney.
