Honoring Kate's Memory

We have started this fundraiser to help Eric with educational expenses for his three children. Their family tragically lost their beloved wife and mother, Kate, in the Lake Tahoe avalanche on February 17, 2026.

About Kate

Kate and Eric met while attending business school in New Hampshire, where they bonded over their mutual love of the great outdoors, especially skiing. When they settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, they took frequent trips to Eric’s parents’ home in Serene Lakes, and Sugar Bowl became their home mountain.

Kate’s boundless energy, unshakable positivity, and sense of fun quickly endeared her to the local ski community, and also to the Strawberry community in Marin County, where Kate and Eric settled to raise their three young children.

Kate was nothing short of an incredible mother and a bright spirit. Together with Eric, she built the kind of strong, sweet family everyone loved to be around.

Eric now must support and raise their three beloved children.
