Honoring Karim Kadmiri (Mr. K): Help Cover Funeral Costs
Donation protected
Hi,
I'm Julie. Karim's (Mr. K's) former student and family. We received news Saturday afternoon that Mr. K has passed away from his 2 year battle with Stage 4 lung cancer.
Mr. K was a high school French and Math teacher for Edison High School, and taught at Westminster High School for over 20 years previous to that. He loves sports and traveling and used to coach for the high school soccer team. In his time as a high school teacher, he also hosted many student summer trips to Europe.
He has left behind his loving and beautiful wife, Sanaa of 24 years and his three sons: Zachary, Medhi, and Sammi. Even though we knew he was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and there was a possibility his treatment would not work, his passing was still quick and unexpected.
Mr. K has changed many student lives, including my own. I have known him for 23 years and he changed my life and helped me shape who I am. He was a great teacher and cared for every student. Even though he had a tough exterior and can be intimidating at times, it was mostly because he loved and cared for the success of every one of his students. He has built many bonds with former students who continue to this day to keep in touch with him.
He was not just a great teacher, he was a great husband, a great dad, a great friend, a great uncle to Zoe (my daughter pictured), and overall a great person. He will be severely missed.
His last request from me before he passed was that I would help create a gofundme to help cover his funeral expenses, as he was the sole breadwinner for the family. We plan on holding an intimate family funeral and a memorial that is open to everyone. I will send out details once I have them.
Thank you for considering donating to his funeral and memorial. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
