Hello, my name is Jasmine Jones, and I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for support during one of the most difficult times in my family’s life.

On April 8, 2026 my brother Kareem Newton, was tragically taken from us in Los Angeles, California. This unexpected loss has left our family grieving and facing the overwhelming responsibility of laying him to rest.

Our mother Charlotte Jones asked me to create this GoFundMe to help cover his funeral and homegoing expenses. Kareem was not a perfect man, some may have known him from the streets… but those who truly knew him understood that he had a good heart. He was a loving and devoted father to his seven children, and they meant everything to him.

Kareem had a passion for music and expressed himself as a rapper. He also loved fashion and took pride in always looking his best wherever he went. Beyond all of that, he was a son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend, but most importantly, he was a father. We are asking for any support you can give during this time. No amount is too small. Our goal is simply to give Kareem the proper homegoing he deserves and to lay him to rest.
