We are heartbroken to share the passing of Kali Jones, a beloved friend and family member. Kali touched many lives with her kindness and spirit. To help support her family during this difficult time with funeral and related expenses, we have created this GoFundMe.

Kali Jones was a beloved member of our communities, Ketchikan and Hydaburg, who touched many lives. Her mother’s people are from Hydaburg, Alaska and her father’s people are from Skidigate, Haida Gwaii. Kali has resided in Ketchikan for the last 10 years during which time she made many friends and became apart of many families. She was our precious Haida girl.

Sadly, she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, March 22nd and her family is facing unexpected funeral and travel expenses. This fundraiser aims to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time.

Kali’s parents are facing one of the most heartbreaking moments a parent can endure—the loss of their beloved daughter, Kali Rayvonne Jones. This unimaginable tragedy has left her family not only grieving, but also facing unexpected financial burdens. As they navigate this difficult time, the costs of arranging a funeral and bringing family together from different places have quickly added up, making an already painful situation even more overwhelming.

Sammy’s wish is to have her Kayhi Basketball team travel to Hydaburg for her funeral. The donations given will help to make this possible. Kali also has several family members from out of town who are trying to make it here for the services. There will be a service held here in Ketchikan before bringing Kali home to Hydaburg, her final resting place. Any donation, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and be deeply appreciated.
