Honoring Kaiden Francis: Support His Legacy

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Kaiden Francis, who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 18, due to sudden cardiac arrest during basketball training. Kaiden was an intelligent, talented, and kind-hearted young man who touched the lives of everyone who he came in contact with. Kaiden was a son, a brother, nephew, cousin, friend and a loved one to many.

A recent graduate of South Plantation High School, Kaiden was a passionate student-athlete who pursued his love for basketball at The University of Mobile in Alabama. Known for his dedication, both on and off the court, Kaiden's commitment to his education and his sport was inspiring. His future was filled with endless possibilities and opportunities, but sadly, his journey was cut short.

Kaiden’s bright smile and positive energy were felt everywhere he went, whether in the classroom, on the basketball court, or at the gym. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers and all who knew him.

As we navigate this incredibly difficult time, our family would deeply appreciate any donations to help fund Kaiden’s funeral arrangements. Additionally, a portion of the funds raised will go toward the creation of a foundation in Kaiden’s name. This foundation will focus on health assessments and heart health awareness for athletes. It will also aid in the prevention and early detection of underlining heart conditions in athletes. This will prevent other families from experiencing the same tragic loss that we have faced. Kaiden’s legacy will continue to inspire others, and we hope this foundation will save lives and raise awareness about the health and well-being of athletes everywhere.
