It is with a broken heart that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved brother, Justin Rodriguez, aka JROD.

He was one of a kind. Funny, spunky, full of life, and someone who could bring a smile to your face even on the hardest days. He had a personality that was unforgettable, and anyone who knew him knows just how much love and life he carried with him.

My brother was a great father. He loved his son Jayce deeply, and no matter what struggles he faced in life, one thing nobody could ever take away from him was the love he had for his son. Being a father was such an important part of who he was.

He loved baseball, hockey, and his dogs. He had a big heart for the things and people he loved, and he will forever be remembered for his humor, his spirit, and the life he brought into this world.

Losing him so unexpectedly has left our family heartbroken. We are now facing the difficult reality of funeral expenses and the cost of bringing him home from Florida to New York, where we can lay him to rest surrounded by his family and loved ones.

We are humbly asking for help during this incredibly painful time. Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean more to our family than words could ever express. We are asking everyone who is able to please wear a Yankees shirt or jersey in honor of our brother. If you knew Justin, you know how much he loved his Yankees. It would mean so much to our family to see everyone come together to celebrate his life.
