My name is Jaylia, and I’m raising funds for my little brother, Steven Lamont Ricks—though everyone knew him as Junebug. To know Junebug was to love him. He had such a big heart at such a small age, and he could brighten up any room he walked into. He loved noodles, McDonald’s, and his tablet, and he adored his nana more than anything. Junebug was autistic, and he brought so much joy and life to our family. He had so much life ahead of him, and now it’s been cut short in the most heartbreaking way.

We are devastated by the loss of Junebug, who was shot and killed at just 6 years old. Our family is struggling to cope with this unimaginable pain. We are asking for help to cover the costs of his repass, as well as bills and everyday expenses while we try to find our footing again. Any support you can give means the world to us as we honor Junebug’s memory and try to heal from this tragedy.
