It is with shattered hearts that we share the loss of our mother, Julie Ann Nieto, lovingly known as Chula. She was born on 12/31/1969 and passed away on 12/30/2025, just one day before her 56th birthday—a moment that still doesn’t feel real to us. For the last two months, Our Mom endured an unimaginable fight for her life. She battled sepsis, a severe infection that overwhelmed her body, while also suffering from cirrhosis of the liver, which caused her liver to fail. As her condition worsened, her kidneys failed, and fluid filled her lungs, making every breath a struggle. Day after day, she fought through pain, fear, and exhaustion with incredible strength. Even when her body was failing her, her spirit never did. Our Mom was so much more than her illness. She was smart, beautiful, loyal, and full of life. She had a way of making people laugh, feel seen, and feel loved. She was the heart of our family—the one we turned to for comfort, strength, and guidance. Losing her has left a hole in our lives that can never be filled. Her passing was sudden and unexpected, and we were not prepared for the financial burden that comes with saying goodbye. We are humbly asking for help to cover the cost of Our Mom’s celebration of life, so we can honor her memory with the love and dignity she deserves. Our goal is $3500.
