It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved mother, Juanita Barksdale. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she has gone home to be with the Lord.

My mother was a woman of strong faith who loved God wholeheartedly. She spent her days praying, reading her Bible, and listening to worship music. She cherished her family, her church community, and her friends. She will always be remembered for her loyalty, her feisty spirit, and her unwavering faith.

As her only surviving child, I am still trying to process this tremendous loss. Just days before her passing, on March 24th, I welcomed my daughter Jahani into the world. On March 28th, my mother transitioned. It breaks my heart that they never had the chance to meet, as I know that moment would have been so special. Though I will now raise my daughter without her, I will have to find comfort in knowing we will see her again in Heaven.

I am asking for support to help with the immediate financial need to cover the cost of my mother’s services and to give her the farewell she truly deserves. Any donation, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. Your prayers, kindness, and support during this time mean more than words can express.
