It is with great sadness and joy that we announce that our beloved Juan Manuel Rivera has gone to be with the Lord. Sadness, because he had to leave our side for now. Joy, because he suffers no more and is now with our Lord in heaven.

As many of you know, Juan was an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, but best of all, he was a SUPERB DAD! He lived and breathed mainly for his loving 11 children. He took great care of them to the very end. Even though it was extremely challenging as 5 of his children were special needs, no one could ever say that they heard him complain even once! In fact, he made it look easy! God bless his soul!

Juan's journey was not without challenges, early on. At 12 years old, he burned 75% of his body in an accident, and it was faith in Jesus Christ that sustained him through those difficult times. He always said, "I've had more than enough of fire! Please do not burn me when the time comes to lay me to rest!"

It is for that very reason that his babies and the rest of us are reaching out to ask for your help in giving our Juanderful loved one the proper burial he deserves. The cost is significant, and if we are to be honest, we have next to nothing to cover it. Please know that your contribution will help us honor his wishes and give him a dignified farewell.
