Joyce Isabella Mercurio was a mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, and she faced life with remarkable strength. She survived cancer six times, including breast cancer twice, and she never stopped showing up for the things she loved, whether that was exercise class or a lively game of kickball at her neighborhood senior center.

Our family is heartbroken by her passing. In place of flowers, we’ve created this fundraiser to honor her by supporting two causes that meant so much to her:

• The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which funds research to prevent and cure breast cancer

• The Senior Education Center, where Joyce found community, activity, and joy

All donations will be divided between the two organizations. The Mercurio Family will make the donations by December 31, 2026, and will post confirmation here as an update.
