Honoring Joyce Ferguson: Support Her Final Journey

Hello - my name is Jessica, I am Joyce Ferguson's (Grammy) granddaughter. My beautiful grandmother got her wings on August 17 at 8:30 in the morning, she took her last breath holding my hand. My grandmother was a magnificent woman and has touched so many lives throughout the years. Grammie was a wife, mother, Aunt, Grandma, a great grandma, and a great great grandmother at 89 years old, with not a wrinkle in sight. She was the first woman to hold a position as a chairman of the Bakersfield Convention Bureau. She also was a canine dog trainer for the Kern County Sheriff's Department for 10 years. She retired after 25 years with World Book Encyclopedia, and even after that, she devoted her life experiences to anyone that was in need.

Most of her funeral expenses were paid for. There were a couple things that were not covered: state license, taxes and fees, and the celebration of life. The remaining balance has to be paid three days before the scheduled service, August 28th … Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you and God bless!
