Jovany Leonard was truly one of a kind—full of light, positivity, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting everyone around him. He was the type of person who would greet you with a big hug, sometimes so enthusiastic it was almost overwhelming, but always filled with love. Jovany was a devoted uncle, always making sure his nieces and nephews were cared for, whether it was with new shoes, clothes, or a little extra spending money. They all adored their Uncle Joe, and he made sure to be present in their lives, showering them with affection and support. Jovany’s generosity extended to his friends, cousins, and every member of our family. He would literally give you his last if you were in need, never hesitating to help those he loved. Over the past year, he became my mother’s personal chauffeur, ensuring she got wherever she needed to go, and he was always the first to offer a ride to family members visiting from out of town. Jovany was a writer, an actor, a serial hustler, and someone who believed deeply in the power of spiritual connection. We shared books, traded knowledge, and dreamed together about building a better future for our family. He was passionate about sovereignty and believed that God resided in each of us, always encouraging others to recognize their own strength and divinity. Losing Jovany so suddenly has left a tremendous void in our lives. We are raising funds to cover his funeral costs and memorial services, so we can honor his memory in the way he deserves.
