Joshua Gipson was a compassionate, kind-hearted, and family-oriented young man—the oldest of seven children. He was known for his love of people, his devotion to his family, and his passion for football, which inspired many across South Florida. Joshua dreamed of one day playing in the NFL, and he worked hard both on and off the field to make his family proud.

On New Year's Eve, while celebrating on Fort Lauderdale Beach, Joshua was tragically caught in the crossfire of a shooting. He was struck in the back and thigh, and despite the efforts of those around him, his life was cut short at just 17 years old. The shock and pain of losing Joshua in such a sudden and senseless way has left his family and friends heartbroken.
