Joseph Valadez lived a life that proves redemption is real.
From the chaos of the streets of Crow Village, to the cold reality of prison walls, to the moment he walked across the stage at Cal State Long Beach and earned his master’s degree, every chapter of Joseph’s life was earned the hard way. Addiction could have defined him, broken him, or kept him trapped where so many never escape. Instead, Joseph faced it head-on and rebuilt his life one decision at a time.
As a U.S. Army Veteran, Joseph served his country with honor, discipline, and courage — values that later became the foundation of his personal transformation. He turned pain into purpose and showed others that no matter how far someone has fallen, change is possible.
Joseph’s journey became a source of hope for people who didn’t yet believe they could turn their lives around.
As his family navigates this heartbreaking loss, we are asking for support to help cover memorial expenses and honor a life that ultimately stood for resilience, growth, and love. Any donation, share, or prayer is deeply appreciated.
Joseph can now finally hug his mother and hear her say she’s proud of him.
Rest in Paradise, Joseph Valadez. You will never be forgotten.
