It is with heavy hearts that we share that Joseph has passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife, Ashley, their beautiful children, and a family and community who loved him deeply.

Joseph was a proud father, a devoted husband, a son, a brother, a cousin, and a loyal friend. If you didn’t know him well, you might have thought he was all toughness. The people closest to him knew better. His heart was incredibly soft.

Joseph showed up for his people.

If someone needed a place to stay, his door was open. When there was a holiday, a birthday, or any reason to gather, it was usually at their house. He made sure every kid felt included, every cousin had a place to land, and everyone had what they needed. The Reyes home was often loud and chaotic, but it was always full of love.

He gave in ways that were quiet and consistent. He cared deeply for his family and friends, even if he did not always say it out loud.

Ashley and the kids are now facing the unimaginable. They are grieving the loss of Joseph while navigating a future that looks very different than the one they had planned together. As a community, we have the chance to surround them with real, practical support.
