Joseph Best was a devoted husband, loving father, and a talented musician and sound technician. Born and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, Joe’s passion for music and his generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. In 1988, he moved to Florida with his daughter Alicia and his wife Debbie, where they built a home filled with love, laughter, and music. Joe and Debbie’s marriage was a true partnership, showing their daughter the importance of a loving relationship, support, and never taking each other for granted.
After a long and courageous battle with brain cancer, Joe passed away peacefully, surrounded by the family he cherished. Throughout his illness, Debbie was his constant caregiver, always by his side, and their daughter-in-law Cassandra provided unwavering support, advocacy and love. Joe’s strength, wisdom, and love were the foundation of the family, and he taught Alicia countless life lessons, especially about the power of music and the importance of love.
Now, as we face the difficult task of saying goodbye, we are seeking support to help honor Joe’s memory with a proper and dignified farewell. Financial contributions will allow our family to focus on celebrating his life and legacy, easing the burden of after-life expenses. If you prefer, you may also choose to support the National Brain Tumor Society in Joe’s honor. Whether or not you are able to provide monetary contributions, prayers and wishes are also welcome and appreciated. We are deeply grateful for any support during this time—your kindness will help us remember Joe in the way he deserves and support our family as we navigate this loss.
