Honoring Jok: A Friend Like No Other

Jok was the most genuine, and caring guy I have ever met. He never tried to hard to fit in or acted different around other people he was always himself in every room. Jok was the type of guy to give you his last if you needed it, if I was ever stranded it didn’t matter what Jok had going on he would be there ready to pick me up. In any hard times if I was going through something Jok would always give the best advice, he always knew what to say. If you knew Jok closely you know he loved to sports bet, everyday he would put $5 down on a bet and he would loose almost everyday but would still go back next day and make a bet, he didn’t care how much he lost, sometimes when there wasn’t anything to bet on during the night he would place a bet on Korean basketball at 3 in the morning. He was also very passionate about basketball he loved playing, he would always ask us a lot to go play basketball and the days we didn’t want to he went by himself and hooped alone at the park. Jok knew all the discounts for any food places around he had every fast food app and he would always get us discounts when we all went to eat. He was hilarious he could sit there and troll about anything and just make you laugh about the most dumb things ever. Loosing Jok has been the hardest thing I have had to go through but we are trying to stay strong for him.
