Honoring John Scofield's Medical Needs
Donation protected
UPDATE: Sadly, John passed away before we could get the lung transplant. We are leaving this page open for now. All donations are going directly to his medical bills and to aid the family in this turbulent financial time. The family sends their love and appreciation for the abundance of support John was given during his last days.
John Scofield is 57 years old and is a hardworking man whose dedicated his life to supporting his family and friends. He’s a talented craftsman and outdoorsman who loves woodworking, kayaking, exploring state parks with his children and living a beautiful life with his wife Oneida. He’s the kind of man that would drop everything to help his family.
Now it's his family's turn to help him. John was suddenly diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, an aggressive and rare form of Interstitial Lung Disease that has changed his life in a matter of weeks. His lungs have begun to honeycomb, restricting the lungs from properly taking in oxygen. As a result, John has been hospitalized to maintain the level of oxygen he needs to survive. Sadly there is no cure for IPF and the disease progresses rapidly, but we still have hope.
Thankfully, John qualifies for a lung transplant that will save his life! We are requesting any funds to go towards his medical bills and lung transplant which are necessary for him to survive. Any support is greatly appreciated by John and his family. Thank you so much!
