Honoring John D. Brown: A Call for Support

Our beloved John D. Brown, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 87. John was a man of unwavering faith, boundless love for his family, and an unending commitment to his community. His passing has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, John's faith served as his guiding light. He actively participated in his church and Bible studies, living his beliefs and inspiring others through his actions. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue degrees in the arts, mathematics, and even attend Bible college to deepen his understanding of his Creator.

John's love for his family was the centerpiece of his life. He was a dedicated father, always present at his children's sporting events and using his expert sewing skills to make equipment bags for their teams. This tradition continued with his grandchildren, as he cherished attending their various activities. His patience, strength, and dry sense of humor made him a beloved figure in their lives.

In his retirement, John found great purpose in volunteering at Park View Elementary School. His commitment to the children there was so remarkable that he received multiple Volunteer of the Year awards—accomplishments he considered among his most proud.

As we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, we are reaching out to our community for support in giving John the memorial he deserves.
