Joseph Worthington lost his life recently in a tragic work zone incident in Pennsylvania. A tractor trailer drove through the area where Joey was working, striking multiple vehicles and killing two employees of Allan Myers - Joey and his teammate, Tony.
So many have reached out wanting to support the families they left behind so this Go Fund Me was created to do just that.
Joey Worthington left behind so many friends and family members including his loving mother, Esther Branch, and his siblings. Read on for some memories of our friend Joey. Click below to donate in his memory.
Joey: aka Joey 2 times, yoseph, and the mayor. To say Joey walked on sunshine is putting it lightly. Joey was ALWAYS smiling and ALWAYS happy. And no matter what you couldn’t help but to smile back. He would greet EVERYONE on site with a smile and a fist bump and ask how they were. He worked for a subcontractor for us for a few years and always wanted to work for Myers. When the opportunity came up I couldn’t help to give him a reference due to his attitude and willingness to work. He was so excited to work for us. He never failed to pick up and extra shift to help out. Joey would stop 4 lanes of traffic to help a little old lady find her destination. He’s a guy you could call by accident at 3am with the wrong number and he would help you try to figure out how you dialed wrong instead of being upset a stranger woke him up. We called Joey the mayor of Allan Myers because he was always talking to everyone on the road spreading his light. We would always joke that Joey is out there “shaking hands and kissing babies” again. He was one of those souls made of gold. I will miss his unwavering positivity and beautiful smile. Love you Joey. - Mal Williams
