It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Joey Free went to be with the lord in the early hours of Monday morning, 4/6/26. He left this world doing what he loved, a reflection of the passion and dedication that defined his life. However, at only 40 years old, his passing comes far too soon and has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Joey was a devoted father whose children were the center of his world. He was a free spirit, an artist with a dynamic personality moving through life with tenacity. He touched the lives of those who loved him dearly and even strangers. Joey was kind, ambitious soul and was deeply empathetic to others. He wanted nothing but the best for those in his life. His absence will be deeply felt in the days, months, and years ahead, as his family navigates life without his presence, guidance, and love. May his soul ride high in his final place of rest. 

Now in the wake of this tragic loss, the family is now facing unforeseen financial burdens, including funeral and burial expenses, as well as the ongoing needs and care of his children. During this time of grief and adjustment, we hope to come together as a community to support them in any way we can.
